This is a reminder that SHCTC devices and chargers are being collected by Mr Knechtley tomorrow (Wednesday, May 10th). Please be sure to charge your device so it can be powered on and checked in.

SHCTC had students compete in Ohio's regional Skills competitions. Congratulations to Lexi Padgett, who received a bronze metal in the Early Childhood Skills competition. Lexi was recognized for her abilities in lesson planning for PreK aged children. Way to go, Lexi!

SHCTC/RULH Junior Makenna Scott and Senior Bailey Joy Davi received State FFA Degrees at the 95th Ohio State FFA Convention in Columbus. Congratulations girls!

Congratulations to SHCTC Superintendent, Mr Kevin Kratzer, for being recognized this evening at the 40th Exceptional Achievement Award Recognition Ceremony. Thank you to Mr Kratzer and the other administrators who helped to bring Project Life to our area!



SHCTC families- Please check with your student to see if they had their device and charger checked by our technology department. Students who reported that their device is lost will have invoices sent home through the US Postal service beginning Monday. To avoid an invoice being sent, please have your student bring his/her device to Mr. Dale Knechtley tomorrow for a check.

Monday, May 22, is for students enrolled in AG Mechanics, Clinical Healthcare, Construction Tech, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and Early Childhood Education. Tuesday, May 23, is for students enrolled in Auto, IT, Public Safety, Sports Medicine, Visual Design, and Welding. Teachers will not be attending this event and the classrooms will not be open. SHCTC just concluded a tornado drill. Everyone did well and are now back in class.

Seniors in Ms. Germann's English class display their multi-media projects. Students learned about the Anglo-Saxons and the Old English language, and then read the epic "Beowulf." Projects range from timelines, to models of ships and war helmets, to recipes of these early people from 410-1066AD.

Dear SHCTC Families,
We wanted to remind you that Southern Hills will be closed on Friday, April 7th and Monday, April 10th in observance of spring break. We would like to emphasize that all SHCTC students are expected to follow the SHCTC calendar and attend classes during this time, even if their affiliate district is on spring break. To ensure that all students can attend, we are pleased to inform you that all affiliate districts have confirmed that they will run shuttle buses to SHCTC. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support and hope that the upcoming spring break is an enjoyable one!

As a reminder the SHCTC scholarship packet is due to Miss. Clark by April 28th. Miss. Clark will be holding a scholarship workshop in the reading during senior advisory on Tuesday April 4th and Tuesday April 25th. Please use this time to ask questions and work on the scholarship applications.

Camp Scrub is coming to SHCTC. A 2-day health career intro for 7th, 8th and 9th graders! June 14th 8:30-2:00 and June 15th 1:00-5:00. Camp cost is $15. A resource fair will be held June 14th from 5 -7 pm.
