Busy day around SHCTC today. Mr. McKenzie and the welding students made sign post and brackets to hang the new signs. Parents that are picking up students now have a designated area for student pick up. Please use those parking spots for student pick ups after school. Sports Medicine students got some practice in ankle taping today. It's always busy around here.

Great start to the new school year welcoming over 270 new Juniors to SHCTC. The Seniors will be joining them tomorrow at which point we will have almost 500 students in attendance. We are looking forward to a great year. #loveshctc

Gracie Blackburn, 2025 Early Childhood Education graduate, represented SHCTC at the Skills USA National Competition in Atlanta this past week after receiving 1st place at the State Competition during the school year. Gracie competed in the Early Childhood Education competition where she had to complete a test to demonstrate her knowledge in the field, create a lesson plan along with teacher made materials for the lesson, and implement the lesson plan in front of a panel of judges. Gracie was 6th out of the 27 competitors which is a HUGE success! When attending nationals, you are competing against the best of the best across nation so achieving such success is an accomplishment that needs to be celebrated! Gracie, everyone at SHCTC is so proud of you. Not only are you going to be a great leader, but you are also going to be an amazing future teacher!
