We are proud of our MET students who recently competed in SkillsUSA competition. Christina Murphy and Landon Smith competed in the CNC milling. Carson Mitchell competed in the CNC turning and is moving to the next level. Your hard work, dedication, and talent truly show, and it’s exciting to see you representing the new Career Tech program so well.

Reminder- SHCTC students should follow SHCTC's school calendar and daily schedule (unless a weather-related delay or closure from their home school district impacts transportation). Several partner districts have upcoming Professional Development Days. Although those districts are not in session, shuttle transportation to SHCTC will continue, as SHCTC remains on a regular schedule. SHCTC will be closed on Monday February 16, in observance of Presidents Day. Thank you for your support in helping students be in attendance and ready to learn.

Pre-K had a fun day celebrating Valentine’s Day. They passed out Valentines and then they had an ice cream sundae to top off the excitement!  

SHCTC Honor Society Valentine's Fundraiser has been a sweet success! The members rose to the occasion, selling beautiful flowers and lotus drinks during lunch. Thanks to all who participated. 💕

Chemistry in Action!
Students applied their knowledge of ionic compounds and solubility rules in our Chemical Formula Lab by writing and balancing chemical reactions and predicting precipitates.

G-Men Senior night! Last weekend Georgetown G-Men celebrated their winter Senior athletes. SHCTC/G-Men Cheerleaders Brit Shaffer, Rilee Gable, Lexes Coyne, and Lindsey Corrington and SHCTC/G-Men basketball player Landen Newberry were honored alongside their parents to celebrate years of discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit. Your future is wide open. Continue to chase greatness.

Our Manufacturing Engineering Technology students showcased the new MET lab to our home school counselors during their recent counselor meeting. These students walked the group through the new equipment, shared how the lab supports hands-on learning, and highlighted the advanced skills they're gaining through the program.

SHCTC is changing to closed for Friday, Feb 6, 2026. This will serve as our 5th and final blizzard bag day.

At this time,Southern Hills CTC is going to operate on a two-hour delay for Friday, February 6, 2026.
