SHCTC Seniors: Todays the day! See you at 10:30 for lunch with the staff at the fairgrounds picnic area. We will begin practice directly afterwards. Mr. Greg Haitz will be retiring after this school year. He first started as a student at Southern Hills, then returned to teach. He has been teaching Social Studies at SHCTC since 1987. Thank you for your years of service and your dedication to Southern Hills and your students. Congratulations to Mr. Haitz on your retirement. You will be missed.

Mrs. Andria Preston will be retiring after this school year. She has been with Southern Hills since 1993, teaching various subjects such as, OWE, Employability Skills, Science, Anatomy, and many others. Good Morning SHCTC/GHS families-
Georgetown has an early dismissal today at 12:30 in observance of Coach Hawkins visitation. SHCTC's Student Awards are today at 1pm. GHS bus riders will be picked up at 12:30. If they want to stay for the awards ceremony it is recommended that they arrange personal transportation. Students who drive may be dismissed with parent permission. Please call Student Services at your earliest convenience 937-378-6131.
SHCTC Seniors- In honor of it being your last Friday at SHCTC, you are welcome to wear Class of '23 or Senior gear tomorrow.
Monday and Tuesday are your final exams and will be regular uniform days.
SHCTC Construction Technology and Ag Mechanics students worked hard to get the fairgrounds ready for next week's Completion Ceremony.
Chef Patrick Zemba and Chef Terrell from Maysville Community College culinary program Stopped by and shared with culinary students the opportunities that are available at their college.

Please be aware that Western Brown had a water main break and is doing an early dismissal. This does not effect the students who attend SHCTC. WB is doing normal dismissal and transportation for students who attend SHCTC. Thank you.

SHCTC had students compete in Ohio's regional Skills competitions. Congratulations to Lexi Padgett, who received a bronze metal in the Early Childhood Skills competition. Lexi was recognized for her abilities in lesson planning for PreK aged children. Way to go, Lexi!
SHCTC/RULH Junior Makenna Scott and Senior Bailey Joy Davi received State FFA Degrees at the 95th Ohio State FFA Convention in Columbus. Congratulations girls!

Congratulations to SHCTC Superintendent, Mr Kevin Kratzer, for being recognized this evening at the 40th Exceptional Achievement Award Recognition Ceremony. Thank you to Mr Kratzer and the other administrators who helped to bring Project Life to our area!
SHCTC families- Please check with your student to see if they had their device and charger checked by our technology department. Students who reported that their device is lost will have invoices sent home through the US Postal service beginning Monday. To avoid an invoice being sent, please have your student bring his/her device to Mr. Dale Knechtley tomorrow for a check.

Incoming SHCTC Juniors, join us for orientation to receive important information about your upcoming school year. Monday, May 22, is for students enrolled in AG Mechanics, Clinical Healthcare, Construction Tech, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and Early Childhood Education. Tuesday, May 23, is for students enrolled in Auto, IT, Public Safety, Sports Medicine, Visual Design, and Welding. Teachers will not be attending this event and the classrooms will not be open. We hope to see you then!

SHCTC just concluded a tornado drill. Everyone did well and are now back in class.

Seniors in Ms. Germann's English class display their multi-media projects. Students learned about the Anglo-Saxons and the Old English language, and then read the epic "Beowulf." Projects range from timelines, to models of ships and war helmets, to recipes of these early people from 410-1066AD.
