Mrs. Thompson World History class is learning about WWI and Trench Warfare. The term Great Slaughter was used to describe the number of casualties resulting from Trench Warfare. Students wrote a hypothetical letter to a family member or friend explaining the horrors of trench warfare as if they were soldiers in the trenches during WWI.

Ms. Germann's seniors learned about the origin of the English language and studied the Anglo-Saxons who inhabited England in the Early Middle Ages. After reading works from that time period, including the legendary hero story Beowulf, they created multi-media projects combining research, writing, and hands-on skills such as woodworking, welding, and graphic design.
