SHCTC Families-
Southern Hills will be returning to Tier 1 learning on Monday, January 11th. This will also mark the start of our second semester/3rd nine weeks.
Please know Governor DeWine's recent emphasis of mask wearing in schools, will assist us in staying onTier 1 . It will alleviate the need to quarantine large numbers of staff and students when there is a positive test result. Understandably, violation of SHCTC's mask policy will not be taken lightly with the end result possibly being the removal of the student from SHCTC.
Families who wish to explore the option of online schooling should contact SHCTC Counselor, Mrs. Miranda Copas. The deadline to change a students online or in person status is 3:00pm Friday, Jan 15th
We are looking forward to seeing all of the students on Monday!

A Happy New Year to all SHCTC families! Please note that as we return to school from the holiday break on Monday, January 4th, SHCTC will continue to be on Tier 2 Learning. Our affiliate districts who have changed their calendars will still be accommodating SHCTC by running shuttle buses. Please make plans in accord with the following schedule-
Monday and Tuesday (January 4th & 5th) in person attendance for all Juniors. Seniors will be participating in online academics these two days.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (January 6th, 7th, 8th) Seniors will be attending in person. Juniors will be participating in online academics on Thursday and Friday.
*Please be aware that previously on Tier 2 Learning, no students attended in person school on Wednesdays. This upcoming Wednesday, January 6th seniors will be in attendance.

Good Evening- There is a revision to this upcoming weeks schedule. Originally we planned to be open on Monday and Tuesday to focus our attention on students who had concerning grades. All staff along with students (who need assistance to get their grades in order) will be in session on Monday but NOT Tuesday.
Students with passing grades are not required to attend school on Monday.
SHCTC families- My message to you today is regarding Monday and Tuesday of next week (December 21st, 22nd). If students are currently passing their courses, I am encouraging them to start their well-deserved holiday break early. They will not be required to come to school on Monday or Tuesday. It is my hope that they will use this extra time to rest, relax, and spend time with their family. If a student is currently failing a course, we expect to see them in attendance on Monday and Tuesday. During this time, our devoted SHCTC staff will be working diligently with students to get their grades in order, prior to the semester ending on Tuesday. We will be calling all parents of students who are missing assignments or failing courses tomorrow (Friday). If you have questions regarding this matter, please reach out to our Student Services Team at 937-378-6131.

Good Evening- Fayetteville Perry School District has announced that they will be closing this upcoming week (Dec 14-28) due to the onset of illness. Please know that the district WILL be continuing to run their shuttle bus for students who attend SHCTC.
